I am so glad that I picked up the camera again. I love how it is helping me see the world with wider open eyes. :)

OMG - what colours!

Dusty pink through to the most magnificent mauve/lilac....what a beautiful sky, and a beautiful way to start the day!

The first picture (landscape) looks longer than an average size photo.....is it on a panorama setting? Looks great!

Out of the bottom three, I like the first one, compositionally :) The two closest trees just frame the photo just so and the middle tree just makes you want to crawl into the photo somehow and go for a wander towards it :)

I hope the rest of your day is as wonderful as the start xx

I so agree about the first of the three photos. It does feel like it's inviting you to crawl right in.

I actually had them all set on 16:9 instead of the usual 4:6. My camera is cool that way. :) I'm glad you pointed it out, because I had forgotten to re-set it! LOL!

I like that first one too, but it's still not perfect (as a picture, Nature is always perfect.) I was debating because the other two show more of the sunset colours. I should try taking some pics from the upstairs porch and see how they come out. I haven't done that since I moved in and everything was leafy. :)

Beautiful. Hard to believe the city is nearby.

It's near enough to see, but far enough away not to smell. LOL! Kidding. People always ask me why I stay in this state, which is so expensive. This is one of the reasons. I have mountains, beaches, farms, cities big and small - all within close proximity. And the suburbs are beautiful.

In terms of mileage, I'd have to look it up. I'd say about 20 miles by road, less as the crow flies. In my old town it was less than 5 miles. I've always found it ironic that one of the reasons we have sunsets like this is because of the pollution from the city. I've seen AMAZING sunsets way far away from the city, but the quality is different. They are all beautiful.

Wow. Simply stunning. So you can really see the Empire State building from your yard? *mind is blown*
How far away from NYC are you?

Yes, in winter, I can see the ESB. Last night I could see it was lit up Blue for my Giants! LOL! On NYE I could see the fireworks in NY.

I will try to get a shot of it this week, if it stays clear. I like that my view of it is through the trees like this. Otherwise, I think possibly you would have to know that it's there to recognise it for the ESB. The first time I really looked in that direction I knew what it was, but if you're not familiar with it, it would just seem like a giant, lit up building. :)
