We're home safely from GaFilk. Our plane was supposed to push back at 7, but was delayed until 7:30 because the incoming plane was late. The storm, which we thought was going to hit around 10 was also rescheduled, and arrived about 8. We still weren't up ( Read more... )

I wasn't at Gafilk, so I don't know what events transpired, but I neither despise you nor consider you beneath my notice. And hearing that people made you feel that way makes me want to stomp on them. *hug*

Thank you very much. (The last time someone -- one of the PROS -- at a con offered me an all expenses paid trip to NobodyLovesMeLand, there were 3 instances, any two of which I think I could have ignored, that put me into that space. This time there was only one -- or maybe one and a half -- so I'm struggling hard to realize that I just don't KNOW what was in that person's mind, and struggling harder to realize that even if THEY do despise me, that doesn't mean that EVERYONE does.) I appreciate your words immensely.

What she said. And I wish you had told me you were feeling this way, as I *was* there and would gladly have done anything I could to help you feel less like that. If someone made you feel that way deliberately (as opposed to merely being oblivious to your feelings), they SHOULD be stomped on with hob-nailed boots. You deserve better.
