Who: Everyone who feels like it!
When: Friday, Oct. 14, starting at 7PM
Where: Mayfield Rec Center. Let the drones have their party at the school.
What: A grand American tradition, Mayfield homecoming!
Warnings: Underage drinking. Pranks a-plenty. Spiked punch x1000. Also the Major is coming.
(
Mayfield loves to play fancy dress-up! )
(NOW what was happening? Miss Pauling looked around in the dark, alert for anything that could happen. All embarrassment and awkwardness from the dance was gone. She mutters to the BLU Sniper, her voice low but calm.)
Sniper. I think we should get out of he-
(And that's when the couple standing nearby gets hit by a water balloon.)
What!?
(And there's another one that nearly gets her too, if she hadn't moved forward a few steps.)

*Instinctively he wrapped an arm around her and pulled her against him protectively.*
Th' bloody hell?
*He hasn't been hit but he can hear them. However he can't identify the sound. There's some yelling and splashing and people bumping into each other.*
This way.
*He pulled her with him back towards the table, his other hand going for the knife in his jacket pocket.*

Sniper, the punch table. I have a gun in my purse, but I left it there.
(She hopes he can hear her through the chaos, but she dare not raise her voice, in case they attract unnecessary attention.)

*He can't see anything, but if he can track a deer through the brush at night and with no wind, he could find a table laden with punch that smelled like turpentine. He's still keeping his grip on her, if she gets away somehow he might not be able to find her again.*
Knew I should have brought my gun.

(And cue lots of people pushing around. One of them accidentally shoves against the both of them violently, and Miss Pauling slipped past the Sniper's grasp and they both get separated in the crowd.)
Sniper?
(She can't see anything in this dark, what with people jostling and screaming all around her. She raises her voice slightly louder; she's not afraid, but it would be easier for her to find the punch table again if she's with him.)
Sniper!!

*Well great. He had already managed to lose her, and he was still nowhere near the punch table. Also people kept smacking into his legs and nearly knocking him over which he really didn't appreciate. The person he elbowed in the face in retaliation most likely didn't appreciate it either.*
Miss Pauling?
*Okay, he can hear her, but his eyes still haven't adjusted to the darkness. And then one of those smaller people at the party crashes full into his legs sending Sniper sprawling onto the ground.*

Snipe-
(And that's when someone fully smashes right into her and knocks her to the ground accidentally.)
Umph!
(Wow, that hurts. A lot. She just smacked the back of her head on the floor. Ow.)

Beggin' yer pardon..
*He's tangled in .. something. Probably the tablecloth from the punch table. And then the lights come back on, and who he smashed into becomes uncomfortably clear.*
urk....

...Oh.)
Oh. My. God.
(Yes, the Sniper and Miss Pauling are in a very interesting position. Feel free to make a comment from this point onwards on how close they are. Feel free to take pictures.)

Well there goes any semblance of him having a good evening.*

Taking a deep breath he approaches her and offers a hand to help her up.*

After she's up, she's going to brush the dust off her dress. Her mind is running fully on autopilot now. It's just how she's going to deal with this. She's not going to look at the Sniper either, because she's half-afraid to see how angry he's going to be.)

*You know. Somewhere that isn't totally awkward without people running around yelling and kids throwing water balloons. He's way more embarrassed than angry at this point.*

(She collects her purse from the chair near the punch table. Before heading off, she does a quick check just to make sure everything's inside, before she walks off with him. Her eyes are carefully kept away from the Sniper; she really, really doesn't know how he's feeling at the moment, and she's afraid she'll trigger something.
As far as she's concerned, Homecoming is over.)
