Isn’t it a sharp contradiction?

About the topic: I didn't know about the term issues myself until a couple of months ago. And I tend to stumble over such details rather accidentally by reading anything written by other people myself.
So... the base that social sciences from overseas created around the topic, unattached from biology and scientific evidence, is quite confusing to me too. Never mind that.
