These are fair points, but there's one big benefit to the Western world: We arent involved into long, bloody, civil warfare that destroys families and creates decades or even centuries long grudges. Overall, we aren't even into waging war with other countries. (Sans the Iraq war. We were stupid with that one. Waaaay stupid.)

I like living in a country of peace. I like knowing that the next state over isn't going to be lobbing bombs into my front yard. That doesn't make anyone weak.

It makes us peaceful. Peace means being able to focus on other things, however trivial that may be.

That said, I agree with A LOT of what you said here about priorities. Our peace SHOULD be allowing us to spread wealth and technology, but instead we hoard it. It's ridiculous.

Wow. Ich bin echt manchmal ein bisschen schwer von Begriff. Tut mir leid. ^^' Dieses Ironie-Ding scheint manchmal im Internet nicht ganz zu funktionieren.
