Visit To See My New Niece

I drove 7.5 hours to see her. I mostly sat around and read my Kindle while my new niece fed, pooped, and napped. I tried not to intrude on what my brother and sister-in-law were doing. They're going to have to figure out what to do when no one is around. Which, they'll be on their own after tomorrow. I also wanted to see her while routine was still

I talk about a cute baby and all you can focus on is the Russian!? ;)

Yes, he was there. He gives me what I need in the form of a strong, calming presence. He honestly doesn't need to do anything else and I'd be perfectly fine. He does plenty more for me, but I don't have to have more. He's good to me and I'm good to him. I give companionship and a sense of grounding to him, so he says, so all is well.

I don't know if my niece has been weighed, yet, but I'll find out later today.
