Carousels

I have a bit of a fascination with carousels. Whenever I encounter a functioning carousel, I've always taken at least one ride. (The only exception to this is my recent trip to Navy Pier, which does have a working carousel. The fun, for me, is to be on an animal that moves up and down, which for some reason is restricted to children on that

Like you I also love Carousels and the best one I have ever ridden was the one on the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. What is you favorite so far?

Right now, I have to go with the one at Greenfield Village. I notice I like the menagerie carousels, which it is, better than those with just horses. I've ridden the one at the village frequently enough that I have a favorite animal (a grey/black dog) that I ride whenever I go, assuming he hasn't been taken out of the rotation (*smirk*) for maintenance.
