How To: Join MRF

Dec 26, 2010 22:04

This has been asked a couple of times now, which makes me wonder if there are others out there who would like to join MRF, but are unsure of LJ procedures. We'd hate to lose a Reader just because they weren't sure where to click, so Thank you! to those of you who were brave enough to ask.

I'm enjoying the community enormously and have gone waaaaaaay back to the early days and the chapter by chapter discussions. I'm sure I'm not the only newish member who isn't sure how your activities work and feel a bit tentative about when commenting is appropriate and when it isn't but I'm sure I'll pick it up soon.

Thank you for running the community and spreading the word about this wonderful author.

I haven't got the opportunity to read some others of Mary Renaults works aside from the Charioteer, but I can at least boast that it's one of my favorite books ever. I remember buying it from a used bookshop when I was 15. I've read it countless of times already.

I'm from a conservative family so I couldn't really share the book with my relatives and some friends. What joy I've found when I discovered your LJ community! I'm happy to find other people with the same love for Mary Renault's novel.

Thanks a lot!
