Sal was surprised, when she woke up some days later, to be feeling no pain. Mind, she wasn't quite ready to open her eyes and look around.

Melody floated into the room, her attention on the bottles of nail polish held in each hand. "What should it be today," she murmured to herself, "Sparkly Sunrise Yellow or Pink Passion Pizazz?"

Sal was too busy looking at the intact rest-of-herself to notice that her fingernails looked...

...manicured.

But all was made clear when she heard Mel talking, and let out a slight chuckle.

"Mel? This yer work or what?" She raised her hand slightly into the air. Despite the lack of pain, it was still a lot of work to do.

"SAAAAAAALLL!" Mel squealed, dropping the polish. "You're awake!" She launched herself at Sal, pulling up short and hovering uncertainly. "Are you alright? Dr. Reyes said you'd be okay once you woke up but you've been sleeping for days and wow, you must really need to go the bathroom by now." Relief made Mel's mouth run even faster than normal.

"Huh."

Sal thought about Mel's last remark. Strangely enough, she certainly did feel as though a trip to the washroom was in order, but there wasn't a dying need to take care of business.

"I do," Sal said, "but I don't think I can move. Where's the toilet,anyway?"
