Pumpkin Games
"Peter Peter, pumpkin eater," Percy Grimes intones. He looks out on the field before them, illuminated only by the tiny sliver of a crescent moon, as he tosses a single pumpkin seed from his bag to the ground. Immediately, the ground begins to rumble as a pumpkin vine begins to grow.
"...Had a wife," Barton Grimes continues, reaching into his bag to pull out a pumpkin pie. "And couldn't keep her!"
The vine begins to grow a single pumpkin... which begins to grow.... and grow...
Percy cackles as he watches the pumpkin grow. "I can't wait, brother! I so love Halloween... and the tasty treats it brings!"
Barton draws a wickedly carved knife, drawing it across the pumpkin pie... and the air is filled with a cacauphony as blackbirds begin to swarm from out of the pie. "And me as well, brother! I do hope our blackbirds bring us something tasty to eat!"
"I'm sure they will, brother," Percy replies, continuing to watch the pumpkin's accelerated growth. "I've always loved meat pies... Particularly the meat pies of those who consider themselves heroes..."
