Steve was usually the easiest of his troublemakers in costume to hunt down. If he wasn't out stirring up a ruckus, he could usually be found at Avengers' mansion.

Today Nick knew Steve was at a mom and pop coffee shop near the Avengers' mansion.

Nick walked in and sat down in the booth across from Steve. "Gonna buy me a cup?" Nick smirked.

"Nick! My pleasure." He leans out of his booth and gestures to the waitress. "A second cup, please." He looks back to Nick.

"What brings..." He stops as he sees the look in Nick's eye.

"...this isn't just to share a cup of coffee."

"It never is," Nick admitted. "Three weeks ago I got a report about Tasha and the Belova woman shootin' it out in the streets and then nothin'. Not a sign of hide or hair of Tasha since then. She's off MY radar an' I don't have t' tell ya that's a bad thing."

Steve sips his coffee.

"Could be she's undercover somewhere," he suggests.

"She ain't undercover. I didn't send her anywhere," Nick said with A Look. There was a pause in conversation as the waitress placed a cup of coffee in front of Nick. "Thanks, honey," Nick smiled up at her.
