Kate had been out looking for Nate-who-could-be-Kang. Payback was in order, but pay back wasn't going to be offered tonight as Kate found herself face to face with five people taking down a couple of homeless guys and...

Vampires. Those were supposed to be bad bedtime stories and movies. And here they were. Like she'd walk away from a fight though.

"Hey, you, yeah you guys! Smile for the birdy!" she said, and let the wooden arrow fly.

One vampire was a little sluggish in his reaction time and the arrow went into a shoulder. The rest ignored the men and charged the interloper.

Abby watched from about 40 feet in the air, her mode of transportation was silent and the wind at that height carried her scent in the opposite direction. It took her a second to decide and she swooped down, lowering her body.

She flew only a brief second in front of the men that was about to attack the other girl, not quite realizing they were vampires, and caught Kate as the cloud quickly began to lift them up into the air. Abby tossed her gaze at the man on the other side of the ally. They couldn't go until he was safe.

Kate was shocked for a moment, after all, the men with the sucking ability had basically rushed her. And then she was in the air. First thought was Teddy or Billy, but she looked up and raised an eyebrow.

"I don't know who you are, but thanks for the save. Think we can get in closer?"
