It hadn't taken very long for Cassie to settle on a costume for Halloween. Alice from Alice in Wonderland. It wasn't a hard costume to make (although she was thwarted in her temptation to shrink into her old dress from when she played Alice as a child, her hips and chest was too big now). Luna was there. Lockjaw had brought her, and she even had permission. Cousin Gorgon's permission counted. "I'm here! I'm here! I'm a pirate!"

That eye patch? One of her mother's old headbands.

"But I thought you were Cassie. I'm still Luna, just a pirate," she said sagely. "So, how do we go get candy?"

"We go around to people's houses and say 'trick or treat' and they give us candy." Cassie hoped she didn't ask why because she had no real idea how the tradition evolved.

Note to any trustworthy Dark Avengers of the Night out there? Don't live next door to a couple who has a child they can trust you with. Ron did, and got roped into taking the Nakamura's child, Hana, who is dressed like a Pikachu, out trick-or-treating. Ron, meanwhile, is dressed in one of his old ninja uniforms, his tail hanging out, due to the fact that Halloween's about the only time of year people won't give him odd looks for it.

"Can we go to that house next? Please Ron?"

"Sure! Onward, to delicious candy!"

"Trick or treat!" The girl says when she reaches the door.

Ron stands a few feet behind. "So, you get roped supervising too or are you out her for the fun of it?" he asks, the question most likely directed at Cassie. His tail twitches slightly/
