Victor paces in the base. They've been lying low for some time now, and he's getting antsy. Everyone's been growing stir-crazy, using the backup base the way they've been, and Victor in particular has been eager to get out again to do some good. Sarah immediatley went about powering the jet up to intercept the runaway's vessal. The program had already been written, to trick any heat sensors, and she slipped in a code to "accidentally" let SHIELD know the co-ordinates where the X-Jet was heading ( ... )

"I am coming with you." Sofia frowned. "But if Laurie were to go back, and SHIELD is following, wouldn't she be in danger too?" If Laurie wanted to go back Sofia wanted to make sure she was safe.

"SHIELD is going to know that the X-Jet is going back to the mansion. SHIELD will most likely be at the mansion when the jet sets down, but the X-Men won't allow anyone to take one of their students without fully knowing what's going on first. Which means you'd be getting asked a lot of questions."

"Also SHIELD wants everyone that is suppose to be on this ship alive, and there's no way they'll be able to take down this jet without killing everyone."

"It's fine," Laurie cut in timidly. She felt busy, even if she wasn't doing anything. Victor had told her that she was supposed to distract SHIELD soldiers, so she was building up the fright enough to do it properly. The task alone was enough to scare her into doing it properly, she figured. There were also a ton of 'what if's, things that could go wrong...

"You don't have to worry about it; I've decided to stay with you all." Apart from current fears, she couldn't even imagine going back to the school alone. She had come along to help, after all, and she had to at least try to do that to the best of her ability. Chickening out and leaving just would feel right. Plus, she'd be able to bear getting into trouble a lot more if she had others with her in the same boat.

Getting up, having to keep busy and moving somehow, Laurie began to help Sarah with packing things from the jet, grabbing up her own bad, as well, offering Sofia a small, nervous smile.
