It's always a little weird for me to write about Martha and her family, because my relationship with my family is...not at all similar. I don't know if that's why I seem to fixate on it so much in my writing.
Whenever I write about her family post-Saxon, I'm worried that I'm making things too fucked up. But, on the other hand, given what they went through, I'm not sure too fucked up is quite possible. (And, for the record, it totally looks like I implied that the Master raped Tish, BUT HE DIDN'T. Because he's the Master, and he doesn't do that.)
Oh my gosh, this is so sad! I love Martha ;_; She's so awesome.
For some reason, I was especially struck by Leo--I think because I hadn't really thought about the fact that he would have lost the year along with everyone else. There's something very sad about that, somehow.
