Spending three days alone and away from everyone had helped Veronica wrap her head around everything that happened this past weekend. She was nowhere near in the realm of okay with it, but she was at least beginning to accept that it wasn't her fault

Dick was already in the room when Veronica got in there, sitting on the bed with his laptop. He looked unsurprised to see Veronica, but was happy to see her. "Hey. You're back."

"Yeah," Veronica said with a nod. "Um... sorry about that whole trying to kill you thing."

"It happens," Dick said, smiling a little. "I was more worried about someone trying to kill you."

Veronica was surprised by how well he was taking this. "Thanks. But there's something I need to tell you." Something she didn't think he would take as well.
