[he's been in a dazed state since he had to cauterize Amaterasu's arm. her screams rang in his ears, the sight of her shaking in pain and shock replaying over and over again in his head. so it's not surprising that he's walking along a path and doesn't know when his right foot goes to take a step and lands not on the ground, but into emptiness.

[Riku's barely gotten back to his shelter when he hears Asher scream, his head jerking up]

Asher? Asher!

[dawnward]

[finally, he's there, pushing through the undergrowth and kneeling beside him. the blood makes him pause, but he doesn't flinch or turn away, doing a quick inspection]

It'll take two spells to close it up all the way. Possibly three.

[nods, eyes quite glazed as he stares at Riku]

D-Do it.

[dawnward]

[without another word his keyblade is in his hand and bright green light is washing over Asher. the light reappears twice more, along with the faint sound of bells]

[the throbbing fades, but there's still a deep ache, a phantom feeling and he knows his leg is still missing. even if Riku said it wasn't possible, he had been hoping for a miracle]

Ah...

[dawnward]

[he wipes the sweat from his forehead, dismissing the weapon and quickly wrapping the stump with bandages he brought with him. his brisk, business-like.

but pale, expression torn, upset]

[marredgoldfinch]

[tries not to move, but he can't help the trembling that's still going through him, a hiss of pain emitting from gritted teeth]

T-thank you--

[dawnward]

[quietly] You're welcome.

[pulls down the collar of his jacket, all business] Hurry, before your condition worsens.

[marredgoldfinch]

[he pushes himself up, hands shaking as he reaches for him. Asher manages to wrap a hand around the back of Riku's neck to draw him close, placing a kiss on the jugular. then his fangs sink in]

[dawnward]

[the shudder is immediate and pronounced, and he bites down hard on his lip to keep from making any noise.

it's difficult. Asher's bite hasn't changed]

[he didn't want to take too much, but the blood loss had left him hungry. he forced himself back after a few moments, licking bloody lips. the blond looks healthier, not so on the cusp of death]

Ah, Riku... thank you so very much.
