I really loved how you took "the trees remember" even farther than I had thought...that they are like people in a way. We look one way from the outside, but within we hide our memories, scars, pain. It "heals over," but it is there.

This was just beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

All of it is beautiful, but I think I am most in love with the sentiments in the first stanza, and wish that I could be half as resilient as a forest.
