... as a middle. "Let us mitigate some of your first adopter risk by giving you a future-rebate." But I think you have to be exceptionally well calibrated before someone is taking the very worst of it. Sprinkling shares like pixie dust onto your very early stage customers is too indiscriminate. Ethics aside, it's not very strategic. "I'm here to play craps. I want to put half my roll on 10, the hard way." If I were an investor, I would think, "These guys have no idea what they are doing."
