More TV chatter: Castle, FlashForward, Fringe

And just to show that I'm not entirely negative about this year's television shows:

1. Really enjoying Castle, to the point where I must admit to a bit of heresy - I may - just may - be enjoying Nathan Fillion as Castle more than I did as Mal. Gulp. I know. I submit myself to your judgement ( Read more... )

You are not alone. A close friend has threatened to end our friendship over point 1, on the grounds that she has to question if she can remain friends with someone with such questionable taste :)

Ah, Nathan Fillion. See the evil you do to us?

I've been enjoying Fringe, despite the involvement of JJ abrams and Akiva Goldsman, in part because of John Noble's cheerful lunacy as Walter (I forgive them the cow, too.) Also -- I like Broyles.

However, I do have a problem with Anna Torv's extremely round head, especially in those shots where her hair goes translucent and her head looks like a little pink balloon on a lollipop stick. Disconcerting.

Yeah, Fringe would not work without John Noble who manages to act as if he actually believes this stuff. The rest of the cast is doing a pretty decent job of suppressing out of character disbelief.

I actually think they're doing a much better job of lighting/makeup with Anna Torv this season - she's really been stunning in most of the shots I've seen and I now want her hair.

re #1 - oh, yes, very much this.

He is having so much fun with the character, and the halloween tribute to Mal was glorious. Plus it's nice to watch a show that doesn't have the spectre of impending doom on it from the start *coughdollhousecough*
