Phoebe knocked gently and then let herself in. She leaned against the door for a long moment. She managed to avoid looking at Kitty's side of the room, but just barely. She moved from the door and sat on Piper's bed.
She didn't say anything. Rogue knew she was there and would talk when she felt like it.
Rogue heard Phoebe come in, but continued staring at the ceiling for a long while.
"Why'd it have to be Kitty? I mean, of all the people in this school, someone had to go and kill the nicest girl ever." Tears started rolling down her cheeks as she sat up. "I just...I hate this."
"I don't think anywhere is safe," she chokes out. "I mean, if this school isn't safe, and my last school wasn't safe--where IS safe?" Rogue gritted her teeth, trying to stop at least the most violent sobs. "I don't want to be afraid anymore."
