FFXII Fic: The Lonely Death of Larsa Ferrinas Solidor

I know... I know. I usually don't post two fanfics (however short though they may be) two days in a row. But this is for the very special artemischan's very overdue birthday. She asked me for something featuring Gabranth and Larsa and I couldn't resist trying to put them in a configuration they've likely never been cast in before

It's just as I told you... this week is torture Gabranth week for me. My finals are dying off and so... various characters will have to as well!

Writing Larsa's dialog at the end of 4 really killed me. It's just... for all his apparent maturity, at his canon age, he's still very much a child, with a child's fears. He doesn't get to say much during this snippet but I hope what he can express still has an impact.

And Noah will sulk like the little PAB he is but he'll be secretly grateful!

You know, that's one of the things I really LOVE about FFXII's script: children and young adults can be intelligent, independent thinking people too!

In real life, kids in difficult situations say terrifically profound things. Likewise, not all teenagers are hyperactive, loud, and stupid.
