We walked a new trail in the forest near our house. We'd never been there before and it was a great hike. We felt as though we were miles from everything, but in reality we were just outside our neighborhood. We want to hike there at least once a week now--we've been missing having time outdoors and that is a great solution.

Thanks Stacy!

Where the trail is is kind of complicated...Our neighborhood is on the far north end of the Sammamish Plateau and there are "common areas" that were saved from development because of the topography. This is one of them, and unbeknownst to us (or 99% of our neighbors, I'm pretty sure) there is a trail through it. I only knew of it because I'm the Association Secretary and we were talking about rehabilitating the trail or maybe making a new one somewhere else. Bill said I should tell the rest of the board it was awful and nobody would like it, so we can keep it as our secret. I'm half tempted to do just that, but I would tell you, since it was a great doggy hike :)

Thanks much!
I shoot with a Canon Eos Digital Rebel (not the XTi) and I was using a 50mm lens on manual focus (not the kit lens...)

Thank you, Yoojin!
It doesn't really have a name, as it is part of our neigborhood common area. Who new somewhere so amazing was back behind those houses?
