I bombarded 350 of my Arabidopsis babies today, three lines, 115 plants per line. That meant 2 hours of preparation (covering gold particles with the different constructs, tags, transport of the plant trays, etc) and 4 additional shooting hours. I'm wrecked. If it makes you feel any better, you probably didn't gain new freckles, they were just probably a colour your eyes could not previously see.
And I bet I still have more freckles than you do. I have them on the bottoms of my feet and in my ear. Combined with the fact that I'm pasty white I look like a dalmatian.

(the fear about my freckles is that I had this completely plain face skin, I had three or four little beauty marks or something like that, and... age came and Sun made me have more and more freckles... it's weird. :S)
And so many plants because: one of the lines needed an statistically valid number of infected plants. The other ones, had to be bombarded with 6 different constructs, so the number of samples multiplies by the number of plasmids. :S so there.
