Oh, wow, so cool! I have to agree, I'm only barely coherent, but wow, that was really amazing. Loved the ending and have to wonder exactly what Conan did to force Saitou to bring him to Kenshin for training.

Hmm, it seems Conan is going to pick up a few new tricks. Rubs hands together gleefully. Does this mean Kid gets to be not so normal as well, just to keep the pair of them balenced.

Magician maybe, with a capital M. It would explain why Akako's magic doesn't work so well on him. He is blocking it.

Much love for this story. Just the thing I need to read while sick. I love Chiba's lines about needing several beers (I've had days like that). And I love the image of Sato forcing the cigarette down his throat. And of course the creature is headed towards Beika. *grins* There are just so many great scenes and lines that I would probably just end up commenting on every one if I let myself. Goes back to reread the story.

And my last thought is 'How is Conan going to explain his absence to Ran?' Of course, there is the highly logical one that his parents took off with him for a while but it'd still be fun to see him explain.
