I meant to reply to this earlier, but I forgot.

I think there's a distinct similarity, but to say that the two bands are exactly alike (or rather that Flobots is bitin' Cake's style) is a bit much. And the rest of that Flobots album doesn't sound much like it.

I love me some Cake, and I dig me some Flobots, so whatever the case I'm happy.

Wow, way to spam my LJ. As a marketing guy I almost have to respect your willingness to Google the topic of your book + "Livejournal" and proceed to stick an ad on the page. It demonstrates a go-getter attitude and a somewhat creative approach to bring your brand into the world of interactive and direct marketing, but ultimately it's such an analog way of going about it that I'm sort of disappointed that you spent this much time to do it given that your rate of return has to be pretty small.
