Beautiful fall weather the past few days here just off Cape Cod. Bought two more bird feeders in the hope of finding ones that squirrels can't get into. Those dang squirrels are clever and will almost always find a way to get what they want.

I hope Barbara gets relief from her pain and that your check-up goes well.

My mom feeds birds in winter. Usually it's sparrows and titmice. I'd love to get a feeder for my balcony, but I have a bad problem with crows in my neighbourhood.

Oh, my uncle came up with some clever ways to foil the squirrels, but they all eventually failed. Little buggers. He finally settled for sitting in wait for them to scare them away.

Good luck. If you find a solution, please pass it on to bird feeders of the world.

All you can do is work smart and know your limits, eh? I'm a cancer survivor and understand the worry that goes with check ups. Nightsky has had back problems for years. I sympathize with Barbara.
