I'm a size 14 and damn proud of it! Hell, I don't think that my trouser size has been in the single digits since I was a wee nipper. Even when I was what I'd consider skinny I was only a size 10.
But it also has a down-side for me. Today I have to go change a jacket that I bought because it doesn't fit round the bust and the sleeves are too tight....
Damn the fashion industry for only catering for the ridiculously skinny!
I'm a size 12 (wow, I need to come to the US, according to the online converter I'm an 8) with a 10DD (American 32DD) chest. I work in a clothing store that caters to anorexic eight year old twigs with AA chests and legs that look like they should snap in half, and they expect me to fit into their clothes. In sane stores, I'm a size 10 (sometimes 12) but there I'm a 14 to 16, and they WONDER why teenagers have body image problems. I mean, they sell all the way down to size 5s, which would be, especially considering how small these clothes are made, probably SMALLER than your average size 0.
I like having my chest and curves. I'm short (5'2), and I'm overweight for my height, but I eat healthily and I'm working on being a healthy weight. According to the doctor, that means being about 120 pounds. If I still have large hips and boobs then, so what? As long as you're healthy it doesn't matter what you weigh, or what the label reads. It took me several years to learn that, after having eating disorders for years (weighing <80
