When Sabre came down with laminitis last year I was devastated. Especially after having a horse who foundered. You would think, by what I had learned, that this wouldn't happen. One of the things which gives me sleepless nights is the reason why Sabre got laminitis. I presumed it was too much grass and not enough exercise. But he did get a fair amount of exercise. I've had so many people ask me what on earth did I do to get Sabre turned around so quickly. I kept starting posts and then thinking, fine, but prevention is always better than cure. When I took Katana to the foothills, even tho she was good in many ways, she shook her head lots and shook her whole body frequently.
