Fridays at most .edu places are pretty fricken quiet.
Make it the end of the semester, then it's even quieter.
Throw a big bucket of ice across the whole of campus, quietest.

I have received NO work e-mails today. That is weird.

Natch, I've brought you a little something, to warm you up, and drive out the winter bad-bads.

If my work email account ever received zero e-mails....well, actually, it would be one hell of a shitty day, because it'd mean the email system was down and I spent all day unsuccessfully trying to fix it.
