This weekend was fantastico. A few stand-outs if you have a chance to see them.

"Chill" - So awfully, horribly bad [a zombie doctor with a MULLET!], that it's gleefully good. I'll let oldest_song quote the uber-quote. It's wildly appropros for the Mad Dr. Vega. Chill."Of Darkness" - a nifty little short dealing with kids opening up a book they really ( Read more... )

"Of Darkness" sounds really spooky. I'd love to see that one.

I wonder if "Chill" will ever air on the SciFi channel? lol (The uber-bad-but- deliciously-fun-to-watch "Harpies" and "Skeeters" come to mind - they aired on SciFi channel earlier this year)

Negative, Ghost Rider. One of the weaknesses I constantly see in DV and DF is lighting and saturation problems, a significant lack of depth of field - like some bastard child of video and film. Depending on the piece, it works well. But it's a rare work I've seen where I say "Wow. Beautiful."

Skulls are not supposed to be named George. Skulls are supposed to be named Bob.

And think how nice it would be to listen to Pinback CDs if they were actually retrieved from their vacation spot!

Will be leaving work shortly. I drop you a line so I can retrieve said CDs and we can discuss Poco. :)

Oh - and my ear cuff is named Bob - it would be too confusing having the skull named the same. I'd never know who I was talking to. Not that I talk to things. Honest. :|

If you actually had time to read the books I gave you, you would get the reference. Bob is the skull in the "Dresden" books.

You must see Automatons. I watched it while we were down in San Diego. Hoping it will have a DVD release soon. The creator is working on it. It will be how humanity ends.
