I am officially employed! I have a place and a time and all kinds of other things and it makes me happy!

In preparation for my entry into the real world I periodically have to fill out assorted job-related forms. Every time I come across a blank for my social security number I have to pause and restrain myself as I begin to write 713. Now that I have a job I have found myself with an excess of time. At first I couldn’t imagine what to do with my surplus of time. There is television, but in classic television style, despite having some two hundred channels, there is never anything on when you can watch TV. On Friday I went to the Quorum offices in Houston with the rest of my group (three Aggies and one Ricer, all male). We had breakfast and talked to our recruiter and the president of the company before company executives took us off individually for interviews. Yesterday I took a taxi to and from Epsilon for my interview. Sadly, as soon as I got into the cab I had an almost uncontrollable urge to speak Chinese and ask the driver what he thinks about the Olympic Games and Chairman Mao. This was a good job search week.  Quorum will allow me to do my office visit on Thursday and Friday so that I can do that before I have to decide.

My boss requires that we attend one class every semester, so that we are continuing our customer service education... Or something.
