It seems that Six Apart really doesn't want us on lj anymore. The short version: deleting these artists wasn't a mistake, it's because they posted art with minors (according to them) in it that had no artistic merit (according to them), and they can delete anyone they bloody well like, basically.
Way to treat your paying customers, Six Apart.
Okay then. It was nice knowing you, LJ. Because if this is how they're going to play it, I'm not going to feel safe in my own fucking lj anymore, and that is no way to have a blog, now is it?
Mind, I'm not deleting anything (too much stuff on my lj I want to keep), but I am, like many others, going to be seriously looking around for an alternative. For those who feel the same, join
fandom_flies, and keep an eye on
this project, called
Scribblit. Currently in beta-testing, hopefully live for everyone else soon.
Man, I can't tell you how truly disappointed I am with LJ and Six Apart at the moment.
ETA:
This is what truly makes me uncomfortable to be on LJ right now. I can just see whatever asshole feels like fucking up people's lives go through any fandomers LJ and flagging whatever HP story/art they find for abuse. *shakes head*
