Shoes and socks, all things foot-related

So in my new quest to Dress Like a Hipster I have developed a keen interest in knee socks. Now, this isn't as trivial as you might think. I may have lost 70 pounds but my calves haven't slimmed down much, and many off-the-rack knee socks frankly don't stretch around them. I must know what knee socks you bought! I am addicted to Sock Dreams but I have the problem of big calves as well. I have had good luck with SD so far but sometimes I am afraid of ordering things because I fear that they won't fit my legs properly.

I did have luck this year finding over the knee socks (that actually go over my knees!) at Wal-Mart of all places. I ran in there on my lunch break a month or so ago with a sock emergency and there they were, only $3. I am acquiring them in all colors!

All these are over-the-knee socks, but on me they're pretty much knee socks. The ones I"m wearing in the pic are the Chevrons. I bought three pair of O-Basics and I think one pair of O-Lovelies. All have fit fine.

I think the ones I got were the O Basics...they fit really well and go slightly over my knees. I usually cuff/scrunch them down to the tops of my knee-high boots anyway.

I've almost pulled the trigger on the Chevrons a few times...you may have tempted me to get them at last, they are super cute on you! (I also love the shoes.)

I have the same problem and I found that the Rag-O_Rama thigh high socks fit me just fine. Also, Urban Outfitters has an extra long knee sock.

Hmm, I'm going that way tonight. I could stop at Rag-O-Rama and check it out.
