Do lobotomies cure writing-related depression?

Okay, I've gotten over that initial flash of despair I had over my new discovery about my book's concept. I'll just have to alter my thinking a little bit and massage a few things and it'll be fine. FINE, I TELL YOU!

Excellent question! The easy answer would be plastic surgery, but I think it will be C-sections. This isn't a dig on anyone who's had one, I'm just saying that right now elective C-sections are incredibly popular.

The problem I have with stories about "severe" procedures like lobotomies are the stories that indicate the procedure worked, such as the case of the young lade that went from suicidal to peaceful. Creeps me out that even a patient would be so accepting of such an act.

In the day you reference what arguments like that will they be shocked that we used today?

And will it work in reverse? Will there be arguments in the future we'd be shocked or disappointed in, as used in the Out There piece you've posted at the Bistro?

Still, an icepick? Isn't there a more sterile, professional-looking version of such a tool? *shudders*
