All righty, here are the first batch of photo meme pictures. Some folks requested work-related ones which'll have to wait because...well, I'm already home. I thought I'd split it up into a couple of posts.
Here is the request page if you still want to leave a comment.
First my promise to you: nothing has been altered, neatened or interfered with before picture taking.

Here are the bookshelves, down in the Nerd Lair:
On the left is hardcover fiction. On the right is paperback fiction. In the center are YA titles and nostalgia books from my childhood, including some super awesome vintage hardcover Nancy Drew books.
This is mostly nonfiction, and on the bottom on their sides are the books I currently have up on Amazon marketplace.
Here's my favorite and most meaningful pieces of jewelry:
Top left: my two special rings, the one with the stone is my high school/college graduation present from my aunts and uncles, and the smaller one is my great-great-great-great-grandmother's wedding ring. Top center is a set of awesome print jewelry I got at Winterfair this year. Earrings, a big HUGE honking ring and a pendant. I lurrrrve them. Top right is some Ming pottery jewelry I got in Yellow Springs. Bottom left is a pendant I got in Sedona, and bottom right is the moonstone pendant I got in Seattle at Pike Place Market when I was there for my friend Amy's wedding.

Here's my nightstand:
Note the bottle of Crabtree & Evelyn Gardener's hand therapy cream. You'll be seeing that again.
The window thing...well, being that I live in a townhouse I don't really have that many windows and those I do have don't have inspiring views. But this one's probably my favorite, it's my bedroom window - although I hardly ever look out of it.

My favorite appliance, unsurprisingly:
My little coffee station. Splenda packets, sugar-free syrups, and Ye Olde Stirring Stick. Incidentally that glass the chopstick is in is upcycled - it's made from an old Fresca bottle. I got a pair of them on Etsy.
Honorable mention to the Egg Genie:
Least favorite chair:
There's nothing wrong with this chair but nobody ever sits here. It's tucked in a corner without a lamp and you can't see the telly.

My favorite dressy shoes (I already had this photo):
I also have a pair of tan boots I love but they're not as dressy.
My DVD collection:
This is one of my favorite space-saving organizational tools. I have two of these, the other one is full. Each disc has a number, and there's a pop-out underneath where you write the titles by the numbers, and you move the slide to the number of the movie you want, then you open the lid and it pulls up the correct disc. In that box to the right are all the DVD cover arts by number so you can flip through instead of just looking at the titles. These are just the single/double discs, of course. The boxed sets are in this cabinet:
WHICH IS BROKE-ASS BROKE. I hate this thing. I just don't have better solution at the moment.

My drive to work is pretty dull. But I actually like the view of my workplace itself that I get as I drive up.
It has a big-ass lawn.
My favorite place to read:
The couch! It's old and stained and super comfy and I curl up on it. Sometimes I lie down. Note to the left the llama-hoofprint coffee mug that
rachet got me for Christmas.
The most organized place in my house? I have a few of those. I looooove organization.
My pantry spice rack.
My Wall 'O Necklaces. Note that each necklace has a little plastic bag with its matching earrings. I need to weed this out. There are some I just don't wear. Plus I'm running out of room. This doesn't include the pendants, which are in bags inside the jewelry chest there.
Also organized are the DVDs as you saw above.
Favorite ingredient or spice to cook with:
I looooove cumin, I put it in everything. Lawry's seasoned salt is a superhero. Yellow pepper rings and spicy mustard make everything better, and they're champions for those of us watching our calories because they pack a whallop of flavor and are basically calorie-free.

Which is where I'm sitting right now!
This is my Command Chair, as my friends call it. Yes, it is a recliner, and is the best bargain I ever scored. I got this chair for $50 on Craigslist and it was practically new. Note the second bottle of Gardener's hand therapy on the mousepad stand (it's not the same bottle, it's a second bottle - and I do own a third one, heh). Note also The Green Bottle on the side table. This is what I drink out of all the time. I just keep refilling it. It also goes with me on hikes.
The copious requests of
my_lil_darlin will have to wait for the morrow!
