I lost one of my notepads today. I feel like I've lost a week of my life. Let me explain for those of you who may be unsure why it's such a big deal - my notepads are my quirk, I have always carried a notepad (and almost always a spare) on me 24/7 since before I turned 17. Matt's entirely the same way (though he doesn't use it for conversation). The first time he and I met in person, he was in the baggage claim section of the airport, this little wiry man with thick glasses and a forest's worth of paper. Even if he has no real designs upon sketching anything, he has his pad on hand. If he loses one (and, like you, it's rare that he does), it's bad news. So, I understand where you're coming from.

If by chance it turns up in Phoenix, I will let you know. ^_^

Ah crap.

I hope that someone helps return it to you.

As for losing it in the same spot, ten years later... that's just weird. Or some strange sort of synchronicity.

Oh hell. That sucks! I have old notebooks that I'll occasionally rediscover and look through, but they're just for random ideas and inventions. I can't imagine what losing a detailed document of part of your life must be like!

I can barely imagine how that must feel, I'm so sorry. Perhaps it got scooped into a bin and is on it's way to the recycling now and no-one will read it. I think that's probably quite likely.
