I had a big shock last night. I was sitting watching the news, they were talking about the memorial for the victims of 7/7 (when London was attacked by suicide bombers) and suddenly up came a picture of someone I knew back when I was at University ( Read more... )

Oh, Mab. How utterly heartbreaking. *comforts* This brought tears to my eyes. She sounds wonderful. Every time someone writes something like this, it brings home what an immense loss every senseless death truly is.

I've had a few experiences like that recently, with our own tragedy here. It shakes you, doesn't it? But in your own way, you've kept her memory living.

*hug* Hopefully, experiences like this make us enjoy life more, and not live in sullen fear. That's the greatest thing we can do.
