"Gift me? What more than you already have? You're too kind." The charge may have been off, but it brought them closer and at least he made contact. But Greyback's fist made contact with Bill's cheekbone and he felt the bone fracture under the sudden force.

His eye would swell fast, putting him at even more of a disadvantage. Being the only one here without the curse at this point was actually not a good thing. His senses weren't as in tune, his skills not as natural, but the anger and fury and the desire for revenge was fueling him now. As long as he could stand, he could fight.

"Not quite." Bill growled, still slightly hunched over and trying to ignore the white hot pain shooting through his face. To wait would give give Greyback more time to recover and Bill didn't, straightening up and aiming a punch right for the other man's jaw.

The punch was true, but carried only human force behind it. Greyback's teeth slammed together and bright lights flared behind his eyes for a moment, but that didn't slow his own reflexes as he snatched blindly through the air and grabbed at the flying wrist before it could recoil.

"Why, gift you into a real werewolf, boy, not a wannabe," he said, the feral grin looking quite deranged.

"You see, when you're nothing but a man, it makes it far too easy for superior creatures like me to do something like this."

So saying, he yanked, up and back, on the perfectly human arm attached to the wrist he had captured, using his superior strength and height to wrench tendon and sinew. When he felt he'd done enough damage - the arm had cease struggling, at least, he yanked again, in the opposite direction, to throw the boy away from him.

"Is that the last of your pups, Lupin?" he called, trying to see where the other werewolf had moved through the thick forest. "Have you left them here for me? So kind."

As soon as Greyback's focus was on the others, Remus had slipped back into the brush to join Glamis. The older werewolves had worked together too many times in war and out to need speech. A few silent hand signals and they were breaking apart again to circle around and hit theiir target from opposite sides ( ... )

Eyes widened in terror as he caught sight of Lupin charging him at last. Lupin, alone, he was quite confident he could handle - ought to have handled properly, last time. But there were charging steps coming from the other side as well, the strength of a dual-attack from skilled fighters who were both werewolves was not something he could combat long. He'd need to take one out, and fast ( ... )
