Someone I was chatting with just now informed me it was raining in San Francisco. In July. And they're threatening us with dry thunderstorms in the forecast. Did we get our weather swapped with the Midwest while I wasn't looking? It never actually got hard enough to hear it raining at this end of the Bay, but I've been smelling it for a couple of hours now. Could make Music in the Park entertaining on Thursday....

it's been muggy out here. not hot really, just weather that sticks your clothes to you in under 5 minutes

I can't remember a summer with no thunderstorms at all. We rarely get big ones and we don't get them often, but there's usually at least one, sometimes two or three. Farther north -- beyond Red Bluff, or so -- they're bigger and more frequent in the summer.

Our thoughts too, as were driving in it coming back from Monterey.

Also, KCBS was reporting it was raining only in the far north bay. {Ahem} when did Salanis and Gilroy move north.
