Quebrantahuesos. My new favourite word.

Good Lord, Criminal Minds, you were really, really boring this week. You were so boring that I sort of drifted midway through the whole thing, and when I finally realised it, it turned out that nothing had happened whilst I was thinking of BOOBS the subjunctive inflection of the Spanish verb "pedir". Indeed, you were that boring! The whole thing, ( Read more... )

So. It's nice to go back to old fandoms every once in a while, and at the moment, I'm so completely enamoured with Pepa/Silvia again. Because their love was so EPIC, and, shockingly, I'm actually okay with the ending, because it was an ending of a true love story.

You're so right. It is epic and star-crossed and those kind of stories rarely end with the couple living out their days together. But, but, but on her wedding day?! :( Also, I love that fanvideo too, but I am obligated to say that since my best friend made it. Our film school education put to excellent use!

JJ and Emily... okay, no seriously, this show is a butch-off nowadays, isn't it? Who can have more swagger.

Also, since you are the only one who I can genuinely freak out about with this... this just happened on twitter. EEEEEEEEEE!

Well, at least Pepa and Silvia were married when the shooting happened, because gunning Silvia down on her way to the altar would've been even worse. Yes, I'm always looking for the silver lining. :p

That's about all it is these days. Not that I'm necessarily complaining!

this just happened on twitter.

MY FANGIRL HEART IS BURSTING WITH HAPPINESS.

Yes, I'm always looking for the silver lining. :p

And bless you for it.

Since your fangirl heart burst, this will make even happier... Adorableness! Oh, twitter... I remember when, just a few years ago, this kind of knowledge would be considered stalking. :)

re - the way women and men dress via the weather - always odd... here: woman over dressed/man under dressed... but do you remember the end of trading place (on the boat) Jamie Lee Curtis was in a bikini and Dan Akroid was in pants and a sweater?

Does wardrobe even talk to each other?

Anyway, lame case... awesome ladies.... 'nuff said

Haha, Traiding Place, yes! Yeah, these weird wardrobe mismatches are surprisingly common. Re: Criminal Minds, I think it was the winter hat that made the juxtaposition between the two ridiculously obvious.

I think wardrobe mismatches look weird on TV and in movies, because you want to feel as if the actors are really all in the same place and that place is real.

But I do have to say, in real life, most of my female friends and coworkers "winter up" at a higher temperature than I do, so if someone for whatever odd reason were to shoot a video of us together we'd look like we were in different seasons. It takes a good 10-15 more degrees for me to break out the jacket, and it's got to be truly truly cold, freezing or below for me to wear a hat.

What is this boxer you speak of? Must've blocked him by default.

Well, all I can say is that at least Silvia and Pepa were married when the shooting occurred. The alternative would've been much worse.

[edit] Also, I've been meaning to ask, is the cupcake in your icon from Law & Order: Trial by Jury? *g*

Triathlon lady was cute and so long as Hotch's work-wife is okay with his new love interest, so am I. The rest of the episode was pretty blah.

I tend to re-watch the non-split up and miserable Silvia and Pepa episodes at least once every couple of months, because they're so damn adorable. And, because I still haven't watched the final episode, I can live forever in my wonderful world of denial where they live happily ever after. I just wish there was more English language fic for them, because they have to be one of the all time sexiest/cutest couples on TV.

That video is and always will be amazing.

Yeah, I felt strangely okay with Hotch hooking up with that woman because his work-wife encouraged him to.

If I had to choose the best TV relationship/paring ever, I would probably pick Pepa/Silvia. As much as the ending saddens me, what came before that was nothing short of incredible and even revolutionary. It's a shame so many people are put off by the subtitles, because everyone and their mother should know about the paring.

You'd be surprised how many people (Americans, mostly...) can't be bothered to watch something because of subtitles. It's such a shame!

The whole episode just felt flat in every way. The whole season has steadily gone downhill after the first few episodes.
