My friends asked for me to send them the theme of the cartoon Maja the Bee. I got inspired so here's a list about the various cartoons that I've seen in my childhood and teen years, before I discovered anime. Hmmm...out of those, I only watched He-Man, Inspector Gadget, TMNT, and Duketales. I also liked the Care Bears movies. I think the second movie I ever saw in a theater was a Care Bears movie. This was one of my most-watched movies as a kid, after I taped it off TV.

For me the name of Care Bears seems weird because in Finnish they're called Hug Bears (halinallet).

Do you know, if people in the states have seen any of the Once Upon A Time series? They were one of my favorites as a kid but I've got a feeling that they probably weren't as popular in the states.

(And holy shit! My keyboard started working again. I guess that the batteries didn't ran out afterall.)

I've never heard of the Once Upon A Time Series...I don't know if we even got it over here.

Yeah, based on the Wiki entry for Once upon a time... Life, I'd say that it hasn't aired in the states. That's really a shame. All of my friends here have most probably seen it. Here's the opening on YouTube and a bit longer video as well. Maybe it was banned in the states because it has *gasp* nude people in it. xp

Oh my god, I totally remember Spartakus and the Sun Beneath The Sea. I used to catch it sometimes as a kid, but I didn't catch it very often because it was only on at 5am. I don't remember a whole lot, just vague snips of Bic and Bac's psychedelic song and dance, and Tehrig's eye glowed when it talked I think.

I would also like to make a love vote for Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, Maya the Bee, Ninja Turtles, and Ren and Stimpy. :D Great shows.

Dunno if you've ever seen it in Finland, but here we used to have a silly (but entertaining) cartoon named S.W.A.T. Kats, which took place in a giant city-nation populated by catpeople. It was always being attacked by giant monsters and such, and these two catmen working in a junkyard had built a working supersonic jet plane and several gimmicky missles out of the trash to fight them off with. One of the voice actors was the guy who did Donatello in Ninja Turtles (he was, appropriately, the skinny nerd cat who designed all the different missles and operated the weapons console)

I haven't heard of the S.W.A.T. Kats and it doesn't look familiar when I googled it. I'd most probably remember it, if it had aired in Finland. At the time I used to watch pretty much all the cartoons that were on. xp S.W.A.T. Kats sounds like a fun show though. I've seen the Ninja Turtles dupped in Finnish so I don't know what Donatello sounded like in English. :p

I've watched Gummi Bears, Smurfs and the M.A.S.K as well. Was Thundercats aired in Finnish television or the sky channels, because I can't remember seeing it?
