Maybe sometime in the beginning of the event...

[Noel woke up feeling... better than ever! She brushed her hair, got on a cute, modest dress, grabbed a basket, and practically skipped outside. She hummed to herself as she headed toward the forest; oh, life was wonderful! Life was beautiful! She could giggle! ...which she will.

It's when she reaches a certain tree that she stops to admire to succulent fruit that hang from it.] Goodness! There's so many of them!

[She reaches out and grabs one of the apples and places it in her basket... in fact, she'll get more!] I think I'll make an apple pie today! ...oh, I'm so excited! I... I think I could sing!

[It occurs to herself that she might be feeling a little more happier than usual, but... oh well!] La da da di da... da... ♪

[GIGGLING.] Wh... What's happening to me?

[Well, she'll start spinning in circles in the forest and keep humming/singing to herself. The woodland creatures will even peek out of their hiding place to look... even if a deer or two will immediately book it upon seeing Noel.

And then she really does start singing

[ready or not, here comes your ~fairytale narrator~ poofing up from above.]

And so, as Princess Noel sang in a deep off-key voice, the animals flocked to greet her and pranced to the tune of her melody.

[With all this singing and princessy stuff and magic, Noel doesn't even notice the fairytale narrator narrating her story.

After she's done singing and dancing... Noel can't hope but sigh as she sits by the foot of the tree.]

But in the end... my prince is still only someone I've met once upon a dream. I wonder if I shall ever be able to finally meet him.

Alas, the poor princess was in despair. The dreams she held close to her heart were not enough to satisfy her. She did not want a dream, she wanted reality. She yearned for true love's first kiss.

...

Boring.

[bullet_dance]

[One of the birds flutter over and perch up onto her shoulder, and she can't help but smile softly.] ...oh, but of course I mustn't forget about my friends. I still have all of you, and that's what matters.

[She stands up straight and pets one of the deer who so bravely got close enough to her.]

Let's go pick some more fruit off the tree! I'll bake something really nice!

[The animals look unsure.]

The princess gleamed happily, ready to put her skills to the test and cook her animal friends some delicious food. The animals, naturally, were terrified. For you see, Princess Noel was not a considerably good cook. No, to say that would be an understatement. She was horrid. There was a reason she was never allowed into the kitchen.

Am I... hearing things?

The princess was bewildered, when she thought she heard a strange voice.
Could it be her caretakers, looking for her to bring her home?
Perhaps it was the voice of the prince she longed for in her dreams?

[...]

Needless to say, it was likely she was simply hearing things.

No... No, I'm sure I'm hearing something! [She looks around. Certainly, it couldn't be her animal friends.] But from where...?

[kakeravoyager]

No you aren't. It's just the wind.

[bullet_dance]

...oh.

Well, okay, then! Come, my animal friends! Let us collect the apples!

[kakeravoyager]

[Good Noel. Back to narrating!]

And so the Princess beckoned her animal companions to harvest the fresh apples in the forest. They would surely make for wonderful pies, despite the finished product being atrocious.

[bullet_dance]

[Keep telling yourself that, Bern!!! Noel will hum merrily as she picks the apples. The squirrels run up the trees and pick them up piece by piece, passing it to one another before the last squirrel tosses it in her basket. Those animals really make a great team!]

Princess Noel was ecstatic. Why, with so many apples, she could make pies for all her animal friends to feast on! For all the birds, for all the deer. For all the squirrels and for all the bears! Yet, there was no pie that she could make for her one true love. How sad. She would be forever alone.
