Ouch. We have gutters on our house in Normandy that back up at the slightest hint of lyme tree leaf. Fortunately the roof isn't flat (it's slate, as is custom out there) but we make sure to unleaf the gutters every season so the thing doesn't tear off under the weight of the water collected.

Sorry about your jaw; that must hurt.

Well, there are no trees hanging over my house (even better, no needled trees near the place) except one dogwood tree, that always seems to be shedding something - bark, leaves, flowers that look like little light fixtures... what a slovenly plant.

Yes, jaw hurts and I don't know what to do besides rest it. Hope it doesn't go on for too long.
