As promised, I took some pictures of my room today. I almost have enough old pics to do pic by pic comparisons, but not quite. And I did a retarded little computer drawn sketch of the basic built layout of my room so it'll hopefully make more sense. But yeah :D
Picture time...but first the teaser, the floor plan:
I think the best way to do this is show how it used to look and how it looks now :) Like I said I have a lot of "close" shots that will show the same area, although the pictures I took of the new show more areas...but I'm sure that's because I want to show it off now :D
I'm going to start with a view into the room from the angle of standing in the room right after walking through the door.
Before:
Now:
And now a look to the right from the door over toward the window.

Now:
And I know the "now" pic is kinda bad XD I don't know what happened it came out really dark so I lightened it on the computer.
Next up is the wall the door to my room is actually on. This is the wall I'm still currently working on for the "revamping" as you'll be able to tell. In the before pic my bedroom door is closed, in the now it isn't.
Before:
Now:
Then we'll move to the corner on the other side of the square my closet is in.

And for a side note...I'm still organizing the bookcase but the top 3 shelves are my manga that I've read. I have tons by my computer waiting to be read but yeah *g* The 1st shelf houses my favorite series (minus Death Note which is on the top since it's in a collectible box), the 2nd shelf are other series or one shots, and the 3rd shelf down is going to host my yaoi manga.
And now the wall space between this corner and the actual closet.
Before:
**Not pictured is the Moulin Rouge movie poster that you see the very bottom of at the top of the picture.

I do have storage above my closet. Before it used to have a bunch of old stuffed animals from when I was little, that's one of those things I never took a picture of cause it was kind of nasty looking (years and years of dust and ick). But now I'm planning on using it better.
And I'll give brownie points to whoever can name the movie on the tv ;)
And now that kind of brings me to an area I didn't take before or after pictures of, the corner behind my bedroom door. First I'll do the wall you see when you first open the door.
Before:
No picture but this used to house a Boiler Room movie poster and a Daria poster. And you can see the front of my door, this hasn't changed...yet ;)
Now:
And the wall behind my door.
Before:
No picture but this used to house a Quills DVD release poster (huge poster I might add) and a poster for Nightwatch (the one with Ewan McGregor and Josh Brolin).
Now:
And here are a few close ups of minor things in my room. The first is the bookcase at the end of my bed. I put a framed picture of the last picture my grandma was in (well it's the last family shot) before she passed away and it's also a more detailed one of the zombie print I bought from Etsy.
And one of my nightstand, mainly to show off the new lamp I got.
So yes...this is the revamping of my room :) I only kept up 4 posters so far that were originally up before. I think one more that used to be up will go back up (the one of Death from Sandman) but I'm not sure where. Right now I have a Vampire Knight mini-poster and Kuroshitsuji mini-poster that I want to hang up, I also have a Loveless one coming but I know that'll be going between my Resident Evil wall scroll and my Germaine poster above my bed. And I have a few other regular posters I've been comtemplating putting up (Resident Evil Dead Silence and Saw of some kind). The corner by my book case is probably going to end up having some smaller art prints and photos hung up around there. I have some framed art (both by people I know and people I don't) as well as more anime art that hasn't found a home yet.
But I'd say it's had a major make over :) I'm really happy with it. I love having my room look more like me. It's a much more enjoyable place to be in and just...yeah. After those 10 years of having my room look the same I think it's about time :D
If anyone actually looked at all this *snuggles* And if you did and want to know what anything on the walls are (or were) feel free to ask :)
