As for далеко, it is the same in Serbian - "daleko" (only the accent is on "e" instead of "o".
As for the prefixes to the verbs, I found that life is easier once you memorize that prefix iz- (is-) equals prefix вы- in Russian (izaći - выйти, ispuniti - выполнить, isključiti - выключить) and prefix u- equals в-(во-) in Russian (ući - войти, upaliti - включить, uzeti - взять)
Anyways, you will see how easy Serbian will be for you since you already know Russian :)
