Mom: Why wouldn't you be?
Me: Because Virginia just had an earthquake.
Mom: Oh, is THAT what that was?

One of my coworkers didn't understand why we were.evacuating the building; he didn't feel the building shake. Okay, it was a little more substantial than a shaking building, it felt like we were being tossed at sea. He didn't feel any of it.
