Today is the first day of school! I spent the morning helping the office staff sort out various scheduling problems and parent gripes. In the process, I also directed three kids to spit out their gum, so they could "start the year on a good note!" Heh. Yay! It sounds like we're all having great weekends. Science camp was fairly painless- I am so glad we didn't end up going with Shelly. Gillian and Judy were fun and had their shit together, so even though there were 1000's of kids in Cary we still had a good time. Waiting
Troy took my car in to get the oil changed on Friday and then took it home to change the spark plugs. During said activity, he figured out why my "Needs Mainenance" light has been on since, oh, July. Turns out one of my points was bad and I've been running on three cylinders. Yikes! No wonder it was hesitating a bit and idling a tad rough... ( Read more... ) -

On my way to work yesterday I passed (with much acceleration and agitation) a bus and noticed that the ads on the side and back of it were thoroughly disheartening.
