Poor feelings Cara. No amount of hot hot angry sex is going to make up for the fact that Kahlan regreted her. The poor woobie. In Cara position I can't see myself ever even talking to Kahlan, I'm not that forgiving. Either way this was amazing. And screams a follow up.
Thank you. I think, had Cara not been trained as a Mord'Sith, she would have told Kahlan to take a flying leap a long time ago. Then, again, had Kahlan not been born a Confessor and all the complications that involves. So the two are trapped in these roles which compounds the completely dysfunctional relationship the find themselves in.
I'm commenting here also because this story deserves compliments wherever it exists. I freaking LOVE this story. I love the sci-fi. I love the relationship dynamics between the characters. As a definite angst whore, I even loved the heartache your Cara and Kahlan brought to me. And of course I loved the sex, even with the heartbreak. :-)
I really like the way you write - the dialogue, the locations, the physical descriptions, just everything. I don't know if you'll ever write more for this story but if you do, I may or may not start dancing like a 1970's Go-Go Drag Queen. I'm just saying. :-D

Okay.....yes, I'm totally replying again but I sit here working, I can't get this story out of my head. Definitely am going to read it again and maybe again...uh, again.
I can't get that last scene out of my head - that heartclenching longing rolled into the complexity of love, history, hopes, resignations - GAH. And God, that last line Cara says to Kahlan...are you kidding? *lol* There is so much involved with this story, so much nuance and layering and it's just sitting in my brain and I can't shake it loose. What a fantastic story. I would love to read more. Not even for a happy reunion (though I mean, YAY if there was one *lol*) but just for more of this world and more with these characters.
This is already one of my favorites by you and one of my favorites from the LoTS fandom. Amazing job.
