I own Dalek Invasion of Earth, but I still haven't watched it, though I've seen the farewell scene several times and those lines ALWAYS make me tear up.

I wanted to quote his speech from The Massacre of St Bartholomew's Eve, but when I looked at it, it's not outstanding in itself - that one really is Hartnell. I listened to that story (mostly going "What?" because it's complicated and it REALLY needs the pictures! :lol:) and that speech at the end gave me shivers down my spine. (When the Doctor talks about how all his companions leave him, and not even his Susan understood...) And then the script editor changed and Dodo arrived in the unlikeliest manner possible... DW was always random, heh. :lol:
Hmm, you know, you did ought to watch it. Really. Iconic Dalek moments, Ian and Barbara, Susan having romantic interludes with fish-slapping, a silly monster and a full tick box of Terry Nation cliches for the first time.
